Sodium planner

Bring a daily sodium figure you already use. The planner divides it among your main meals, after the share you keep for other food and drinks.

Nothing you enter leaves your device.

The figure you use — for example, one from your health professional.

Main meals a day

For snacks, drinks and anything else outside your main meals. There is no default: enter your own.

Example per-meal limit

Fill in all three to see the example per-meal limit.

This only divides the number you entered. It does not set or recommend a target.

Illustrative example

A daily figure of 2,000 mg, with 30% kept for other food and drinks and 2 main meals: 2,000 × 70% ÷ 2 = 700 mg per meal.

How the planner works

The planner sets aside the share you enter for other food and drinks, then divides the rest of your daily figure equally among your main meals. It rounds to the nearest whole milligram.

If the result is from 100 to 2,000 mg, you can try it as the example limit in the sample menu demo, which labels it as coming from your planner.
