Professional and community collaboration

For clinicians and collaborators

We welcome conversations with dietitians, other health professionals, restaurant operators and community organisations interested in clearer food information. NutriChoice is in development, and we are shaping the review and education work needed before launch.

Designed, not yet operating. Qualified clinical reviewers are to be engaged before launch; none is named on this site.

A shared commitment to clarity

Useful information starts with better questions.

We’re building the platform and the information process together, with a staged pilot designed to test both.

How rule review is planned to work

The service is designed to check each dish with fixed, written rules. Each release of those rules is planned to carry its source, the date it takes effect and the sign-off of qualified clinical reviewers (for example registered dietitians), to be engaged before launch.

What a reviewer is planned to do

  • Check that each rule says what it checks, the figure it uses and where that figure comes from.
  • Sign off each release of the rules before it takes effect.
  • Tell us about any conflict of interest before reviewing.

Nutrient values are planned to come from Health Canada’s Canadian Nutrient File for generic foods and from the supplier’s specification for other ingredients. We plan to share a pack describing the method with reviewers on request.

How the screening works

Where collaboration could help

Professional review: Help assess the scope, wording and review process for proposed information tools.

Restaurant practice: Help us understand how information is collected and maintained in working kitchens.

Community feedback: Help us learn whether the proposed experience is understandable and accessible.

What a useful collaboration could contribute

We welcome conversations about food-information quality, restaurant workflows, usability and the interpretation of meal records. A practical contribution might be a clearer record template, a review process or a better way to explain uncertainty.

Please outline your area of expertise, the question you would help us answer and any conflicts of interest. Do not send patient information or confidential research data in an initial enquiry. Collaboration is subject to scope, responsibilities and an agreed review process.

Independence

Reviewing our rules is not an endorsement of NutriChoice, and we will not present it as one.

Start a conversation

Tell us about your organisation or professional background, your area of interest and how you would like to contribute. Please do not send patient records, medication details or other sensitive personal information.
